Unique keywords are those keywords for which only the analyzed website ranks, but not the competitor's domain. This makes them the opposite of shared keywords. The example above shows 265.7K keywords, for which only the blue domain ranks. In contrast, the number of unique keywords in the orange domain is significantly lower (51.396). This number helps to plan its next project: you should try to optimize the URLs, for which the unique keywords are ranked in such a way that it will be difficult for competitors to fill in these keyword gaps promisingly. Additionally, a competitor's unique keywords can identify your own keyword gaps and help to fill them accordingly.
Where can I see the unique keywords?
The number of unique keywords can be analyzed in tables in the Research Cloud sections Competitor Analysis and Competitors by URL.
For a deeper analysis and listing of the specific keywords, you need to compare the two domains with each other. By clicking the Compare Domain button in the upper right corner of the Research Cloud, any domain can be compared with the analyzed domain.
There is a list of all the unique keywords. In addition, you can accurately analyze in which positions the keywords for the respective domains are ranking.
In this example above, the analyzed domain is ranked with both "amaon.com books" and "shop on amazon". This means that the competitor's domain is not ranked for those keywords.
